Russia has almost doubled its wheat exports to China since the beginning of the year

Russian wheat supplies to China in January — April 2026 almost doubled compared to the same period last year.

According to Ruslan Khasanov, director of the Federal Center for Agricultural Safety and Quality Assessment, Russia exported 3.7 thousand tons of wheat to China in the first four months of the year. According to him, the dynamics confirms the continued expansion of Russian-Chinese cooperation in the agro-industrial sector.

Khasanov also noted an increase in the total volume of agricultural products supplied through Krasnodar ports to China. In January—April, exports increased by 73% year-on-year. A significant contribution to this dynamic was provided by the supply of dried peas.

The export of peas to China increased 2.4 times during the reporting period and reached 316 thousand tons. Currently, China accounts for about two thirds of the total volume of shipments of this crop through the ports of the Krasnodar Territory, the total export of which amounted to 468 thousand tons.
