Anatoly Kargapolov, Consul General of Russia in Hong Kong and Macau, announced the upcoming cultural project. According to him, the residents of the megacity have a high interest in Russian culture, and Russian artists, musicians and cinematographers regularly participate in local events.
The diplomat also noted the growing number of Russian tourists and participants in international exhibitions taking place in Hong Kong. In addition, the presence of Russian food manufacturers is expanding in the local market and new outlets with domestic products are opening.
The statement was made at a reception on the occasion of Russia Day, organized by the Consulate General. Kargapolov stressed that the high level of representation of the guests reflects the development of relations between Russia and Hong Kong. The head of the Hong Kong Administration, John Lee, was among the honored guests of the event for the first time.
