This was stated by Boris Titov, Chairman of the Russian part of the Russian-Chinese Friendship, Peace and Development Committee. According to him, no drug can enter Russia without the permission of the Ministry of Health, and the procedures for certification and adaptation of products take a long time and require compliance with all established requirements.
Titov also noted that mutual trade in health products is developing in both directions. In particular, Russian dietary supplements and natural products are in demand in China, where organic products, including herbal preparations and willow tea, are highly valued. A similar trend is observed in the food segment.
According to the special representative of the President of the Russian Federation, the current control system minimizes risks when importing pharmaceutical products. He stressed that cases of quality inconsistencies are a violation of the law and are subject to suppression by supervisory and law enforcement agencies, regardless of the country of origin of the goods.
