Порт

At a presentation in Beijing, the Hainan authorities presented the first results of the free trade port, including a 20% reduction in customs clearance times and a 61% increase in the number of new companies.

The presentation of the investment potential of the Hainan Free Port took place within the framework of the IV China International Supply Chain Promotion Exhibition (CISCE) and brought together about 600 representatives of foreign governments, diplomatic corps and business. Delegations from Nicaragua, Italy, Lebanon, Senegal, Panama, Uruguay and Togo took part, as well as representatives of China Unicom, China Telecom, Charoen Pokphand Group and Sanofi.

Special attention was paid at the event to the first results of the port's work after the introduction of a special customs regime throughout the island. According to the organizers, the average clearance time for imported goods decreased by 20%, and the amount of information for declaring goods when exported from the island decreased by more than 60%. As of May 31, 172.1 thousand new business entities were registered in the province, which is 61% more than a year earlier. The authorities attribute this to the growing business interest in the port's capabilities.

During the presentation, representatives of Hainan's departments spoke about key support mechanisms: preferential taxation, duty-free import of goods and the development of priority industries. The event also announced the VII China International Consumer Products Expo, which, according to the organizers, will complement the logistics and production agenda of CISCE, forming a full cycle of business interaction — from finding partners to product launch.
