Participants in the “Young Entrepreneurs of Russia and China” track at the “Rostki: Russia and China — Mutually Beneficial Cooperation” forum in Kazan entered into concrete negotiations on the very first day of work. Among the areas under discussion are the supply of cars from China, timber, batteries and accumulators, as well as cooperation in the production and sale of women’s footwear.
As Dilbar Sadykova, Chairperson of the Academy of Youth Diplomacy, noted, the main indicator of the format’s effectiveness is when participants start discussing supply terms on the very first day. The Academy creates a platform for contacts, and businesses find partners on their own. According to the organizers, the Chinese side has confirmed its readiness for further negotiations on timber supplies, and the terms for the first trial batch of vehicles are being worked out. Shoe manufacturers from China have already contacted Russian factories and potential sellers to enter the market.
The youth track of the forum involves about 40 entrepreneurs under the age of 40 from Russia and China. The Chinese side is represented by companies in the fields of auto exports, logistics, digital platforms for the timber industry, medical and compressor equipment, as well as 3D technologies. The “Rostki” forum is taking place in Kazan from August 16 to 19; its business program includes more than 50 sessions.
