The event is organized by the Russian Cultural Foundation with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. The program will open with the Russian film “Two in One Life, Not Counting the Dog” by Andrey Zaitsev; the actors who played the main roles — Svetlana Kryuchkova and Alexander Adabashyan — received awards for the best female and male roles.
The audience will also be presented with the Serbian film “The Forest King” by Goran Radovanović (awarded for direction), the Russian‑Belarusian mystical detective “Black Castle” by Kirill Kuzin (composer Yuri Poteenko was a laureate), the South African film “Old Righteous Blues”, the Venezuelan film “Ali Primera”, and the Chinese film “Against the Flow” by Xu Zheng. The latter won in the “Best Film” category and received a statuette and a 10‑carat Yakut diamond worth the equivalent of $1 million.
The screenings will take place at the art‑house cinema of the Chinese Center for Film Studies. The grand opening is on August 28. The first award ceremony took place in November 2025; the expert council reviewed 34 films from 17 countries. In 2026, the ceremony will be held on November 12 in Moscow.
