The multifaceted nature of the business agenda in relations between Russia and China is due to the high level of interstate relations, said Nikolai Zhuravlev, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council, at the 7th Russian‑Chinese Business Forum for Small and Medium‑Sized Businesses at the National Center “Russia”. According to him, under the leadership of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping, cooperation between the two countries has reached a qualitatively new, unprecedented level.
The senator noted that the leaders of Russia and China have set the task of significantly increasing the scale of bilateral trade. The governments and legislative bodies of both countries are providing the necessary conditions for the implementation of the agreements reached. Zhuravlev emphasized that trade turnover between the countries continues to grow steadily, which confirms the effectiveness of joint work.
