The Chinese company UBTECH Robotics has launched the world’s first factory complex for producing industrial humanoid robots. The facility is located in the city of Liuzhou (Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region) and is capable of producing up to 10,000 machines per year — approximately one robot every ten minutes. According to the manufacturer, the plant marks the transition from laboratory prototypes and small‑scale production to large‑scale intelligent manufacturing.
The key feature of the production cycle is the “robots build robots” concept. The Walker S and Cruzr models are produced on an area of 14,000 square metres. The project was implemented with the participation of the German Siemens Digital Industries Software: the system provides digital closed‑loop control at all stages — from order planning to quality control. On the line, human‑like robots handle pallet unloading, loading and material handling.
Each finished machine undergoes tests lasting more than four hours. The smart system with unmanned forklifts covers the entire chain — from assembling components to storing finished products. The launch of the enterprise confirms China’s leadership in the field of robotics and the transition to mass production of humanoid machines for industry.
